Firefighters from Horley were called out to an area in Charlwood earlier today (Thur) following a Hazardous Material (HazMat) call out.
According to the officers who responded the caller had been concerned about a funny smell in the area.
They responded and determined there was nothing to be concerned about.

Boy, 7, knocked down by 32-tonne truck on A217 in Reigate
A seven-year-old boy is seriously ill in hospital after being knocked down by a tipper truck on the A217 in Woodhatch, Reigate, last night.
The crash happened shortly before 5pm, when the child was hit by a 32-tonne yellow Volvo tipper vehicle at the juntion of Woodhatch Road and Dovers Green Road.
Two ambulances were scrambled to the scene. The boy was rushed to St George's Hospital in Tooting with serious head and pelvic injuries.

Leatherhead Bypass closed following serious collision
LEATHERHEAD is gridlocked after a number of roads were closed following a serious collision between two lorries on the A24 Leatherhead Bypass.
The incident, which occurred close to the junction with Headley Road (the turning for Headley Court), was reported to police at 1.48pm today (Friday).
As a result, the A24 has been shut between the Knoll and Beaverbrook roundabouts, while Headley Road, Highlands Road and Church Road are also closed to traffic.

Fire rips through derelict house
Firefighters from Horley have tackled a blaze which gutted a derelict house.
Four engines and a water carrier were called to the scene in Church Wood Lane, Burstow earlier today and were on the scene until midday.
Officers struggled to enter the house at first because it was deemed to be structurally unstable but were eventually able to tackle the fire.
No-one was injured and according to fire officers the incident is being treated as suspicious.

Person killed after being hit by car on M23
A PERSON has been killed after being hit by a car on the M23.
Police have confirmed there was a fatal accident involving a car and pedestrian at about 1.20pm on the northbound carriageway between Junction 9 (Gatwick) and Junction 8 (the M25).
Emergency services are on the scene and the carriageway is currently closed. It is not known when it will reopen.
It is unclear at this stage what led to the accident.

M23 death victim "fell from bridge and was hit by lorry"...
THE man who was killed on the M23 this afternoon is believed to have fallen from a bridge and been hit by a lorry, police have said.
Police had initially said the victim was hit by a car but it now appears it was a lorry that hit the man.
The victim was hit by a lorry that was travelling northbound on the motorway, about a mile from the Gatwick Airport junction.
The motorway had to be closed, which has led to huge delays in the area all afternoon, even once the M23 was reopened.

A MOTORCYCLIST has died following an accident on the A29 Beare Green Road.
The victim - a man believed to be in his 40s - suffered fatal injuries in the collision with his bike and a car.

Concern is growing for the welfare of a man who has been reported missing from Smallfield.
Police have appealed for help to locate Martin Suckling, 48, who was last seen in the Smallfield area at around 9am on Sunday.

Boy, 10, knocked down by van on A23
A 10-year-old boy was hit by a van on the busy A23, Brighton Road, in Hooley last night.
Police were called to the scene shortly before 6.30pm after the boy, who was on foot, was knocked down by a blue Ford transit van.
The air ambulance doctor and paramedic were called out 20 minutes later to help treat the boy.
He was taken by land ambulance to St George's Hospital in Tooting with abdominal injuries, which were not believed to either life threatening or life changing.

Fire crews battle grass fire for three hours
FIRE crews battled to put out a grass fire which raged for almost three hours.
An engine from Reigate and a water carrier from Leatherhead were called in to help two Epsom crews fight the fire in a field next to Nescot college in Reigate Road, Epsom.
Crews were called in shortly after 1pm. Two hectares of the scrubland went up in flames.

Teen motorcyclist suffers multiple fractures in A25 smash
A 19-year-old motorcyclist was airflifted to hospital after suffering multiple fractures in a crash on the A25.
The teenager, from Dorking, broke his arm, his legs and his pelvis when his black Kawasaki motorbike crashed with a 4x4, before bursting into flames.
The crash happened at 12.13pm on Friday, at the junction with Upper Street, near Shere.

A driver escaped with minor injuries when his car flipped over on the A24 and crashed into the central reservation.
The road was closed in both directions at the Mickleham bends earlier this afternoon.

Traffic easing following three-vehicle crash on M25 in Surrey
All lanes have reopened following a three-car crash on the M25 in Surrey.
Traffic backed up when three lanes were closed between junctions 8 for Regiate and 9 for Leatherhead, on the clockwise carriageway earlier this afternoon.
All vehicles have since been moved to the hard shoulder.
Surrey Police report that nobody was seriously injured.

Man who fell from M23 bridge identified
THE MAN who died after falling from a bridge over the M23 has been formally identified.
James Barrow, 24, from Horley, fell from the bridge on Weatherhill Road onto the northbound carriageway colliding with a lorry at around 1.10pm on July 14.
Road closures were put in place while emergency crews attended the scene with two carriageways opening around 2.40pm and fully reopening around 4.25pm.

Fly-tipping on a new level as two-bedroom house dumped
WHILE fly-tipping may be a common occurrence in Surrey's rural lanes, police officers came across an extreme example of the behaviour when a house was dumped in the East Horsley area over the weekend.
A 38ft long, two-bedroom, prefab home was found to be blocking an unlit stretch of road with a 60mph speed limit in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Two charged following large-scale fight in Cobham
TWO men have been charged with public order offences following a large-scale fight in Cobham earlier this month.
Officers were initially called to Hamilton Avenue at around 1.30am on Sunday, July 21, following reports that two large groups of people were fighting in the street.

The hunt is continuing today for a missing man from Dormansland.
David Pickett's dog was found running loose yesterday and Surrey Police say they are concerned for the 34-year-old's welfare.
He failed to turn up for work in Dormansland at 7am yesterday.
His dog was found running loose at around 6am near Ford Manor Road.
It was later identified as Mr Pickett's dog by its microchip.
