DAMAGE to a telephone junction box in Dorking town centre left homes and businesses unable to use phones, internet and card payment machines for five days this week.
The incident, which hit properties in South Street, occurred on Saturday afternoon and was not repaired until Tuesday.
Shopkeeper Sonja Sefke, owner of South Street vintage clothes shop Shrewd, told the Advertiser she had been caused great difficulties trading as a result.
