A MAN had to be taken to hospital with chemical burns after spilling sulphuric acid on himself.
Firefighters from the Horley and Reigate stations as well as an environmental protection unit from Dorking fire station attended the Fox Revived pub in Norwood Hill after the bottle of acid was knocked over yesterday.
The fire services were called at 12.13pm after 100ml of the highly corrosive liquid was spilt, and remained on the scene until 2pm.
