AN explosive car fire in Merstham last night (Sunday) is being treated as arson.Firefighters from Reigate station attended Nailsworth Crescent where a Vauxhall Corsa was "well alight".A fireman told the Mirror an accelerator had been use to torch the car.Crews used two breathing apparatus, a hose reel and fog nozzle to extinguish the flames.Surrey Police officers were also called to the scene to investigate.Several callers alerted the emergency services after a series of bangs were...
