THE FIRE brigade was called to McDonald's restaurant in Redhill town centre last night after flooding forced the evacuation of customers.
Water believed to be from a plumbing defect gushed through the restaurant leaving the ground floor under water up to two inches deep.
Five firefighters from Reigate Fire Station helped staff mop up the building in Station Road between 9pm and 10pm. The business had to close for a good part of the evening.
