A SUSPECTED trainee terrorist was arrested as he got off a flight at Gatwick Airport.
The 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of training for terrorism overseas after he got off a flight from Istanbul, Turkey.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police's Counter Terrorism Command (SO15) swooped at about 2pm and took him into custody at a West London police station, where he remains.
This arrest was not in response to any immediate threat or risk.
