THE healthcare review which originally recommended the closure of the A&E department and maternity ward at Epsom Hospital has been scrapped.
As previously reported, the Surrey Downs Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) – which covers Mole Valley as well as the Banstead and Tadworth area – pulled out of The Better Services, Better Value (BSBV) review in November after its GPs voted overwhelmingly against its proposals, meaning Epsom's services were saved.
