TUESDAY FEBRUARY 18th 2014 UPDATE
THERE is continuing good news for the thousands of people in Surrey and Middlesex whose lives have been made a misery by the extensive flooding of the River Thames over the past 10 days.
Overnight, the water level in the river has continued to gently ease away from the extremely high mark, dropping by a further an inch or two at many of the stations monitored by the Environment Agency.
There was some more rain last night, giving 5cms or more in parts of Surrey....
