PART of the A22 through Surrey was closed this morning ( Wednesday, February 5) due to flooding, leading to travel misery once again in the county.
Despite a wall of sandbags laid by Tandridge District Council teams on Tuesday night to contain the build-up of water amassing alongside the A22 Godstone Road at Whyteleafe,the murky waters burst through the barricade and flooded the main road near the BP petrol station.
